Lead Quick Note Modification

General Description

Modify the note creation from the Lead’s phone call icon so that it links automatically to the spawning Lead and does not include the Contact, Account, or Opportunity links.

Current Functionality

Currently the functionality when adding a phone number to any record is that an icon for a phone and a note appears at the top of the screen. The note option opens the same quick create form that is available from the top ribbon of the CRM. In the case of the Lead, there is no way for the user to associate the Lead to the created note, and instead they are required to link it to an Account.

This functionality is also present in the Mobile version of the CRM and should have the same adjustment.

Future Functionality

If a user clicks the new quick note button from the phone icon in the Lead entity, the Quick note will automatically include only the link to the spawning Lead similar to creating activities directly from the Lead Activities menu.

The highlighted options will be hidden if generating the note from the Lead and the note will ink automatically to the spawning Lead:
