Standard Lead and Opportunity Stages

General Description

Administrators of a customer’s CRM can create and update custom record status values for each stage of each entity. In order to better align with Supply Chain and support future integrations should we constrain the edit of the status values for Leads & Opportunities and align them with the standard options in Magaya Supply Chain? This will better support back and forth data transfer and triggers based on stage requirements in both the Magaya Supply Chain and Magaya CRM.

Current Functionality

Each customer's CRM Administrator may define any number of custom stages in the Lead and Opportunity entities as they see necessary to fit their business needs. This is controlled via the Stages options for the Opportunity and the Lead Stages options for the Lead records as defined under the CRM's Setup Screen. Future Functionality

Changes needed:

  1. Update the security so that users cannot change Status values

    1. Remove options to modify Lead and Opportunity Stage options in the Setup

  2. Align all Opportunity Types to the same Stage list

  3. Set the list below as the available selections in the CRM with support for both English and Spanish on all Opportunity and Lead Stages

    1. Drive the display based on the language selection and not user entered Status values

  4. Leverage the Supply Chain API to update the CRM Lead & Opportunity values as well as the Supply Chain quote status as status options are updated in either system based on the relationship below.

    1. SCS Status should correlate to options in CRM Opp & Lead stage values

when the information added to the Expiration Date field expires, is one month from the date the quote was created by default. Lost is a manually set value

    As part of this enhancement we will also add the functionality to have a record marked Lost in either system update the linked record status to Lost with a corresponding reason.

    As such, there will need to be a lost reason list that corresponds to the customer's Supply Chain lost reason list. This will extend to Leads and Opportunities that have been synced to Magaya Supply Chain.
