Add a filter to the Analytics area for Group

General Description

Add the ability to filter each section of the Analytics module by available assigned Groups. Groups are applied to Accounts, Contacts or Leads and filters should reference regarding parent record where necessary. For example, filter Activiites by Group listed in the Activity’s Account parent record since activities themselves do not have groups. Same with Opportunities.


Current Functionality

The CRM's Analytics section includes information for Opportunity, Activity, and Lead outcomes. The filters for these sections are independent of related records so that users can filter for records based on options found within each entity.

The only area which currently supports reporting by Group is Lead Analytics since neither Opportunity nor Activity have a group feature, though their parent records do. In the Lead Analytics, users can see a summary of total leads and conversion percentage by Group:

Future Functionality

Include additional filters in each of the three Analytics screens to allow users to choose only records specific to certain groups.

  • For Leads, the group is assigned directly to the Lead and the filter should use this option just like the summary of Groups and the group filter within the Leads view.

  • For Opportunities, the group is connected to the Account which owns the Opportunity and this option should be used when filtering Opportunity analytics by Group:

  • For Activitites, the group is from the related record where the Activity resides. This can either be from the linked Lead or Account as shown above, the linked Account from an Opportunity where an activity resides. Or from the linked Contact's Group:
