Description: Capability to generate billing invoices directly within the AES and ACE Manifest transactions. Currently, the process of generating these invoices manually from the Service Bill module is very time-consuming.
Suggestion: Implement a billing feature similar to the one used for 7501's, ISF, and e214 modules, allowing us options to:
Bill directly from within the transaction itself.
Bill from a dashboard providing new options in the AES and eManifest Module for billing/invoicing purposes.
Utilize dynamic bill codes specifically for AES and eManifest transactions with logic to automatically pull these bill codes and their associated charges into the invoice for these specific transaction types if they are saved to the importer account.
Integrate billing functionality directly within the Transactions or from a billing dashboard.
Additionally, adding some type of automation to trigger these types of transactions to go to a "Ready to Bill" queue/tab when specific status messages are received. For example:
i.e. AES would automatically create a bill in a ready to bill tab when a "Shipment Added Response" is received.
i.e. Emanifest filing would automatically create a bill in a ready to bill tab when a "TRUCK RELEASED" status is detected in the Emanifest dashboard's current status tab.
Enhanced Management and Tracking: Having a better system for managing and tracking AES and eManifest transactions to ensure they are billed efficiently would reduce manual processes, ensuring all transactions are billed, and streamlining operations to avoid delays and errors.
Billing Dashboard: Introduce a billing dashboard similar to the ones used for ISF, 7501, e214, and 7512 transactions. This dashboard should provide visibility into:
What is in "Ready to Bill" status.
What has been posted.
What has been billed.
Benefit: This new functionality will streamline billing process for AES and ACE Manifest filings, similar to the efficiency achieved with other transactional forms. It will help in managing and tracking transactions more effectively, reducing manual efforts, and improving overall operational efficiency. The addition of an AES/eManifest billing dashboard will provide critical visibility and control over the billing status of transactions.
Additional Context: The current manual process for billing is cumbersome and impacts our operational speed. By introducing this functionality and providing a comprehensive dashboard, we can significantly enhance productivity and accuracy.
