Due to the new section 232 tariffs, many heavy machinery and metals importers are having to claim upwards of 200+ lines per entry where we are now having to manually input this country info into the lines. This is adding 1 hour or more to these entries that used to take 10-15 minutes max. This isn't workable and we need a solution to cut down on the time it takes to process these entries to make them cost feasible again.
This would help any broker that is currently handling any cargo that falls under the scope of the new section 232 derivatives.
Just to give you an idea, we used to input one of these for raw steel or aluminum every 20-30 entries, now we're seeing 100-200 per entry... Please implement a bulk line update solution.
To me the solution would look like this - select aluminum or steel country line update -> cells load for the info to be updated -> for steel this would be both boxes (country of melt and pour and the applicability code) / for aluminum this would be all three boxes (country of smelt - both primary AND secondary, and then the country of cast.) -> apply to lines, lines input by separation of commas. This way we could input specific info to unique lines all at once based on the countries that are applicable.
